Dynamo Dublin retained the Seamus Dalton Cup with a 4-1 win over a gallant Dalkey Utd in Home Farms ground,Whitehall today. The game started in a flurry with Dalkey Utd hitting the frame of the goal in the first minute, but found themselves a goal down after 3 minutes with Vitaly Chernyshen scored from close range. Dynamo Dublin increased their lead on 12 minutes through Ion Ugureanu and then Alex Gutu a third on 22 minutes with Man of the match Dynamos Number 4 Eugenio having a hand in all 3 first half goals.
Dalkey Utd never gave up a pulled one back on the hour through James Finnegan and very nearly scored a second when Finnegan nearly scored again minutes later. Dynamos Roma Da secured victory with ten minutes left with a neat finish from a difficult angle. The game was played in great spirit with Referee Gary Bailly very impressive in the middle and duely assisted by Andy Ward & Jack Keating and 4th official Brian Coughlan .
